So my MIL took my son tonight since she was gone for a week && just got back. Well I'm sitting here trying to be quite because I think he's in his room sleeping so I look at his room && remember he's not here.

I love that I have a break tonight but I hate how much I miss him lol Its funny you are so excited to get a break from them but once they are gone you miss them

Ds has only stayed the night at my dads house once. It was on DH's birthday and I had a date planned and has a sexy little out fit. We got home and I ended up crying because I saw his baby blanket and I missed DS so we had to go get him at 3 in the morning because I couldn't sleep. He was 3 or 4 months old.

My 4 yr old son is in Kansas for the weekend visiting family ( we live in Az..he flew out there with my mom)... so I can totally understand how you feel! Hubby and I havent had a weekend to ourselves like this since before he was born....it is relaxing, but I miss my little boog :(.

The first time Anthony spent the night away, I called every half hour to check on him until 10pm.  I slept like crap because he wasn't there and I couldn't call to check on him.  I went and got him at like 7 in the morning.  The sad thing about all of this is he was at my in laws which is seriously like 200ft. away from our house!

i was having a hard time adjusting to the fact my daughter was going to be gone for a month and two weeks. I was depressed and sad beyond belief. For almost a week i'd wake up put on cartoons and make breakfast for two and realized...she's not there. It was hard but you learn to adjust and its good for your kids to be away once in a while, though the length of my separation sometimes is horrible for a child...
