At what age do you think a child is old enough to properly wash his/her own hair alone? And actually get it clean.lol

My dd does it. She is 5, I think by the time they are in school they should start learning.

I do have 3 nieces that are ages 9, 11, and 13. Well they don't know how to get their hair clean. But that is because they were never taught how to clean themselves. So I guess it all depends on how well they are taught.

My son is 9 and doesn't do the greatest job. He worries more about playing in the tub or shower than actually do that. I've had to send him back.

my ds is almost 5 and has been washing himself for about a year. I still have to help rinse his hair though. I think they should be doing it 100% by age 8-9
