Ok mommas... My wife and I are sitting here with our son watching a movie for family time. A preview came on that was showing a little "adult content" if you will, and my son says, "That's a sex movie." NOOOOOO! Not the sex talk. Not this early.....He's only 8!!! We decided not to ignore his comment and asked him what he thought it meant. He said, "Basically you're nakid in bed." I thought, ok, should we have the sex talk or not. We decided against it and I told him if anyone ever tries to talk to him about sex just cut them off and tell them that if you wanted to know about sex you would ask your moms.

My question here ladies... have you had the sex talk yet? If you have, how did you explain it and how old were they? If you haven't, have you thought about what you're gonna say?

No thank God! LOL.. I will be honest with what they ask, when the time comes, without telling them what they don't ask..LOL IN other words, I won't be free with the info(if they start asking at a young age)I will answer only what I am asked...

I will answer when asked when they are little, they don't need details right now. Thankfully the topic hasn't come up since they are all 6 and under lol

First, I wanna say good for you for communicating with your child. That's awesome.

I haven't had much sex talk other than "boys have penises, girls have vaginas".

My DD is almost 8 and I had the talk.  The thing is kids talk about it already at school and many misconceptions are told.  I told her the truth.  I got some what into detail but half way through she was grossed out and said I am NEVER doing that mom! haha. She then asked so you had to do that with my dad to get me and you had to do that with DH to get the baby in your tummy?  I told her yes and she then said "well mom I hope you dont want to be a grandma because I am never doing the S thing and I am not having babies." LMAO I would be open otherwise He will get the wrong impression of it at school sooner or later and it is way better to hear it from his moms.
