I would also say to ask the pharmacist. Although, my opinion is not to give something with a sleep aid to a child that small, I think it can be really dangerous. Our pharmacist says that the dosing is just too tricky with things like that. What symptoms are you trying to control? If it's fever/aches and cough maybe a seperate cough medicine(we like mucinex for kids) and some ibuprofen or acetaminophen would work for you without the risks.
You are never supposed to give nyquil to children especially that young. You should never administer medications to your children without dr consent anyways what works for one 5 year old wouldn't work for the next it is based on size.
