i have a 3 and a half yr old and if we arnt constantly playing or reading or going to a play ground she just goes nuts cranky.

she goes to sleep between 730-830 depending on how her day was.

is your 3 yr old constantly needing attention and entertainment?

can your 3 yr old play on their own ? if so for how long my DD seems incapable of any alone play

At 3 my dd couldn't entertain herself at all. She was very on the go too. Shes 7 now and is much calmer and able to play on her own.

Nope. He is an only child and although he has his days where he wants to be permanently attached, he knows to go play when I tell him to. He also know if he does not comply he will go for time out. As a single mom, it is impossible for me to give him 24/7 attention however I always make time for him or answer him when he has a question and obviously I give him what he needs.

My DD just turned 3 and she plays alone. She used to not, but in the last month or so she has gotten good at it. She plays with her baby dolls, and "reads" to herself, and just makes stuff up. Its cute to watch :)

She can definitely play on her own, but I prefer she doesn't too often.
(Once a day, maybe.) Now is the time for ne to be engaging and teaching her.

My 3.5 year old lives to play on his own. He can sit for hours! Lol both my kids are independent.
