Starting pre-k

My son is starting pre k next wk and other than his school supply list I'm not sure if there's anything else I need. Like shopping wise.
A lunchbox? Small backpack? Ex school supplies?
Biggest thing... Clothes. New clothes?

Will he be eating lunch at school?  If so, then I'd get him a lunchbox, but otherwise it's not necessary yet.

A back pack... yes, I'd get him that.  It's likely that he'll have little art projects & newsletters to bring home at least once a week.  Plus, you should probably include an extra pair of pants/undies in his back pack or keep them in his cubby at school.  You never know when an accident will happen or when he'll get soaked playing in a puddle, etc.  He'll be more comfortable in clean things.

School supplies - did the teacher give you a list of what's needed?

Clothes - does he need clothes?  If not, I might just get him a first day outfit and then not worry about it until the change of seasons necessitates some new things.

Is it all day pre-k?

Ours is half day so 3hrs.. I bought one new outfit for first day and he has enough decent clothes to wear his old ones for the rest

I bought him new shoes though and a packback:)
