a party instead of a baby shower

That's what this seems to be turning into! My sil is throwing me one in november. And judging by her invitation list and all the stuff she's been getting and saying. Its sounds more like a bachelorette party than a baby shower. Its not like I can really complain or ask her to change it because its smething she is doing for me. That would just be rude and tasteless imo. Esp since I don't "need" a baby shower. Its my second boy and my first ds is only 2 yrs old.

But she's getting like a loud speaker system with party music, she's considering having my brother preform (yea he's a rapper and he's fairly well known in nola. He opened for the hot boys reunion :) does shows at clubs, etc), is getting alcohol, the whole nine yards.

Oh and the best part?? She invited *HIM* (My......sort of "ex"...this guy I've been sleeping with since I was like 15..but stopped once I married dh..and I have a ton of issues with his babys mother and he's like the only other man I've ever had real feelings for and blah blah blah...and he's like the sexiest dude everrrrrr AND he's my brothers bff...so yea idk what to call him, but *him*...some of y'all know him as "glittery").

Him, me and dh in the same room.....talk about AKWARD!

I had a party too. On the invitations it said, "it's not a shower it's a shindig!" Lol no exs were there, but my dad, brother, husband, and friends husbands were there :) it was a blast!

If I were you I would tell her thank you, but no thank you. It's so disrespectful for her to invite your ex to anything. You are married, and if you go through with it then you are wrong too. Your DH does not deserve to be put in that position. Talk about straight trifling.
