How much...

Should I pay a babysitter for taking care of my 4month old daughter for 3 hours once a week? What do you ladies think would be a decent amount...

I would be providing all the diapering essentials ie diapers, wipes, cream, etc as well as the feeding essentials ie formula, mixing water, bottles, etc.

how old is she and how experienced. $5 an hour is a normal wage that we pay baby sitters here in alaska for them to watch children in THEIR home with THEIR items (i.e. food and drinks etc) ... I think $15 for a 3 hour day once a week is reasonable ...

Maybe $60? I couldn't see paying more than $20/hour, but that's just me.

If it's only once a week, I'd say $30. Much less than that, and it's really not worth the time, plus your daughter is still pretty young.

She's in her early 40's, she's a friend of the family. She has raised 3 kids of her own and has looked after children (not her own) for just over 10 years from as young as 1month. Currently she'd only be watching my daughter and no other chidren.

I would say $40 to $60 would be fair.
