Okay, so getting ready to mail my SS gift & was wondering if I can mail the boxed if it is wrapped up in Christmas gift wrap - as long as there is a large, white mailing label on the front?

Does that make sense? It will be shipped through the Post Office, regular mail.

I think so. Check the website of whichever company you are sending it through.

nope, when I worked for a mail outlet kind of place the post office and all the other ones like ups said that it has to be in a box. I can't remember why.

I remember why, if you send it in the wrapping then it is to easy for the wrapping to rip off then they would have no idea on where it is going or who sent it.

Yeah I am pretty sure nowadays they sell prewrapped gift boxes for mailing so i am sure that you can send an already wrapped one.  Just know it may not make it there all pretty.  A lot of people instead send a box and wrap an additional box inside of it so they have something to unwrap.

Maybe wrap the present and place it in a regular box to ship?

You can do what my Ex Mil does... She wrapped up the present before sending it off but she put inside an bigger box and they can see that there nothing else in there..Sometime they will let you send that way

I think you can, but I wouldn't do it. It can rip off and the receiver may never get it.
