Ugh Some People Are Pigs!!!

First off, this is JUST a vent! Not meant to offend anyone!

I can't wait to get a new job,so I can quit my current one. I'm an apparel specialist(shift manager) at a department store. Tonight we had some call ins, so I had to straighten and fold half the apparel department. It was TRASHED! Piles of clothes in the fitting rooms, the tables with folded clothes were a nightmare, and the clearance racks had piles of clothes under them, hangers sticking out and clothes draped over the racks!

Is it seriously THAT HARD to hang something up on the hanger after you try it on? Or at least put it on the rack of "put backs" outside the fitting rooms. Or is it that hard to fold something...or even attempt to fold something?

Even before I ever worked retail, I always put things back and re-folded stuff. I just thought it was the polite and respectful thing to do. Yes, I know its part of our jobs to make things look nice,etc...but there's so much more to our job than just folding things. It makes it so much harder on us to get everything else done when things are trashed.

Ok vent over, I feel better now! LOL

If anyone bashes, this post will get deleted.

Lol I understand. I always refold and hang up my clothes again. But I work at a grocery store and we get the same laziness. People leaving frozen or cold product on the shelves to spoil, leaving product three feet away from where they got it. Not wanting to unload their carts... The list goes on and on. Sorry it made your day more difficult!

I've never worked retail, but I try to leave things as close to the condition I found them in as possible. I don't understand people being discourteous just because they can get away with it.

Sorry it was a crappy day!

Sorry.

I admit I don't hang things back up but I don't trash it either. Many times I give it back to the dressing room attendant. I just know it needs to be hung up a certain way.

If I'm looking at "folded" clothes on display I try not to mess it up but my size is usually on bottom so it messes up the whole stack. I'm sorry but I'm not going to straighten up an entire stack. But if I don't try on or purchase that item I will fold it back and put it on top.

I have never worked in retail and I don't think I could handle it. Instead of putting things on the "put back" rack.i actually put it on the hanger and return it where it belongs. I have a little ocd though I believe though when it comes to that. I also refold anything I may have unfolded. I know there are alot of people who don't do anything except make messes but also remember there are some who try to make less work for you.

I can't stand people doing that. It's ridiculous. Cuz it can't be sold cuz you have no idea how long it's been out. That is just pure laziness

I work at a truck stop and the drivers are disgusting. They never throw trash away in deli when the the trash thing is right there. They leave empty condiment packs out, stir sticks, straw papers. Spill coffee and creamer and sugar everywhere. Even manage to leave the spout for coffee flowing when done filling their cup. And I'm so damn glad I don't have to clean showers

I remember once I tried on some clothes (i felt thin!!.....but i wasnt thin when i tried said clothes on...) Anywho I had like 10 items. Only one fit. I went to put the stuff back and asked the employee where the rack for putting stuff that didnt fit was and she gave me the dirtiest look. I just set everything on the floor including the one thing that did fit that i wanted to buy and as i walked out, said to the manager what a shitty employee she was and i was never coming back to that store......6 years later i STILL have never stepped foot in there. Not even sure if they are still around but yeah. Ugh. sorry to go off on a rant of my own but yeah
