My DH asked me to be one before we got married and had kids. His mom stayed home, he wanted his kids to get what he felt were the benefits of it.

I am actually on my last week of work before becoming a stay at home mom. I am a little scared. However the schedules my family has, I felt like I wasn't getting much time with my daughters then when I came home from work I was stressed and tired and taking it out on my hubby and my oldest and just feel it isn't worth it to do that. Plus other contributing factors from the job.

I knew that if I had kids, I wanted to stay home with them. Then, one day, I fell in love with someone that shared the same beliefs. Badda-bing, badda-boom!

1. I hated the thought of leaving him
2. He eats so much- I don't have enough extra to pump for a 10hr day, let alone 40hrs a week..
3. The individual I worked with full time is no longer getting services from the company I worked for- so my job isn't there to go back to

Lol it all worked out

we we decided we didn't want him in daycare that first year because we didn't want him exposed to all the germs and miss his milestones. then a year came and went and my husband said he would prefer if i just stayed home with him until he could start preschool since we were financially able to. sure no problem. so that's what we are doing. 2 years left :)

I didn't 'choose' to be a SAHM. I enjoy working outside the home. My mom or my MIL watches my kids when I am at work.

I was a nanny and the kids were headed off to preschool around the same time my SO landed a huge promotion. His mom was a sahm so it was important to him. It just worked out!
