I just messaged a FB friend about a picture of his kids in the car. The older boy was in a high back booster (I think he's 3) and the younger didn't have the straps positioned correctly.

I can't believe I did that, but I had to say something about the booster. Eek. I almost wish I could take the message back.

I emailed the husband cuz I've known him forever, so I'm hoping he doesn't hate me for being nosy. =(

I've done that to two of my cousins. One received the information very well, the other not so much. I would rather be the crazy car seat lady than hear about their kids being hurt or killed in a car accident.

Phew! He emailed me back and wasn't bothered by my unsolicited advice. He said that he bumped the boy up to a booster because he wouldn't stay in a harness. Definitely not going to push it further because that would be rude, but at least he took it well and I didn't hurt the friendship.

I think it's all about how you say it. (general you)

Don't feel bad, you may have saved a life. It's the littlest things that can change a life forever.

depends on how you approached it. some people simply don't know. but if you were nice and showed concern rather than pointing blame and belitting him as a parent, i'm sure you'll be fine.
