I'm sure most people won't see this as a big deal but... my son finally listened to me instead of having to put him in "time out" first.
He was playing with my in-laws dogs (2 chihuahuas(sp?) and a puggle) and knocked over the trash can. I asked him to pick it up and he actually picked up the trash can ( I had to help since the trash can is just about as big as he is). He even picked up ALL the trash that dropped out before going back to playing with the dogs. BTW, my son is about to turn 2 and seems to think I am the last person he needs to listen to.
That is a BIG deal! When my son was 2 it was tantrum after tantrum!
My son is the same exact way. I just want to pull my hair out sometimes lol
and thanks! I was hoping that since my son has been so well behaved since he was born I would get to skip the terrible 2s... I was wrong.
My son hates to listen. he likes going off and doing his own thing. I'm kind of hoping the park incident that had happened prior helped him see that I'm the parent.
He wasn't listening and I told him that if he didn't listen we would go home and he would take a nap (it was getting close to his naptime anyway). he kept on what he was doing so we went home.
