Thunder rolling in

Im afraid of thunder. Bad. But I've freaked my 3 yr old DS out enough with my fear of spiders. So right now we have a huge storm rolling in with thunder and lightening. It's super humid and suddenly got windy- so I opened the windows and curtains and DS & I are sitting looking out watching the storm rolling in saying how "cool" it is! (I'm terrified- but am doing my best not to show it!).

He's having a blast!

Do you pass on your fears or face them & tell the kids it's not so scary?

It should be here in a few hours. I'm not looking forward to it so close to bed time.

I'm terrified of storms but my ds loves them. So we track them. That way I can see. What's going on (and remain calm) and ds can watch as it comes in and rolls out.

I'm getting better about staying calm and the storms don't freak me out as bad anymore. But ds now likes to track the storms all over the. US. So we watch a lot of weather stuff and check the weather.com a few times a day.
