Small lump in armpit..... very scared :(

Hey there moms. The other day I found a small lump in my armpit... it's about the size of a pea, kind of hard or not its hard to tell and it stays in place. Its also a little painful to the touch. I had something like this a month or two ago when i was on my period but it went away a couple days after my period was over. I know im due for a period soon here and maybe thats why its back. My mom in law thinks its a swollen lymph node and my husband tells me to stop worrying because he thinks its nothing. I always think the worsted and im afraid its breast cancer even though no cancer runs in my family. Have any of you had anything like this before? All advice is welcome. :)

Is it toward the surface or deep under the skin?

It might be an ingrown hair. A combination of hormones and shaving can cause it. If it doesn't go away in a week or two, or if you're just really anxious, call your doctor. But I would guess that it's nothing serious.

I used to be the kind of person to wait and see what happens. But recently I put something off that ended up being very serious and I lost my dd b/c of it. Idc how minor u think it is, if u are worried take ur tail to the DR! My mom had breast cancer 2 yrs ago and it was very obvious once it presented itself but the Dr told her its not always like that. Please dont take a chance, go get checked! Its better to be safe than sorry.

I would have a doctor look over it. If it is nothing, no harm, no foul. If it is something,it is good you are getting it taken care of.
