tomato soup for spaghetti sauce? any ideas

i have everything to make spaghetti except the sauce and no tomatoes to make it homemade. but i do have a few cans of tomato soup i know this is wierd but any ideas how to make it taste like a decent spaghetti sauce.

Onions, mushrooms, herbs any will work so what ever you prefer. Also to thicken it up add either flour or cornstarch. Start small and add more if you need to. And with the cornstarch make sure you simmer it to cook the starchy taste out.

I don't know for sure but, i couldn't imagine it hurting anything if you add something like 1/4 a can and some seasonings (my favs are oregano and basil and for pasta garlic and onion salts). In theory, it shouldn't be too too bad.

 If you have any italian seasoning it should be okay/

I've never tried that and would be afraid it would taste odd, but I suppose with added seasonings it could be tasty.  How did it work out?

It was actually pretty good i even added a little paprika to it.
