If you have ever moved from one state to another...

Have you checked penski trucks?

Thanks! We got a quote and with gas we are figuring it will be a little over $2,000 to get a Uhaul but so far it has been the cheapest.
Quoting honeyb690:
uhaul is the cheapest way I have been there done that to many time and it always. comes down to a U-Haul
Quoting honeyb690:
well it might be a little cheaper if u have an suv and u can pull the one behind it. if I can remember correctly it cost us around 7 to 800 to move from Georgia to Ohio but it also depends how much stuff u have to move and how big things are

how long is the drive because with the uhaul the faster you can get it back to them the cheaper it will be at least the ones here

IKR!! I am certainly going to miss that part.... but thats about it. After 5 years of active duty I was ripping my hair out, I don't know how he is still sane after 8.
Quoting army_wifey_06:
Ahhh I miss having the Army move us...they even packed for us lol.
Quoting mrsbrand:Any time we have moved (from US to Korea, Back to US in WA state) it was always through the Army, they contract out to movers, We are going to be moving on our own when DH gets out in JAN and are planning on doing a massive U-Haul with a dolly and driving the other car too. From the numbers we ran this is going to be our cheapest option.

I believe it's a 21 hour drive but we have an almos 3 year old and a 3 week old so we will be stopping a lot haha.

I'm sure once he's out and we are all settled I'll be able to look back more fondly but right now there is just so much Bull the unit is pulling that it drives me nuts. And its a lot of the same people who were so awesome when I worked for them that I'm just really fed up with how two-faced they are/were. But without the Army I wouldn't have my hubby so I will always be so thankful for that.
Quoting army_wifey_06:
I know what you mean! Dh got out after 6 years active duty and did 2 years in the guard. I'm glad he's done but there are things I miss!
