Of how many hours i've been smoke-free for.

I talked to my dad today & he sounded so happy for me. :)

After researching lung cancer with Mackenzie, I found out that women w/ hormone issues (which I have) are 70% more likely to get lung cancer. Someone w/ close family history (IE: parents or siblings) who has had it, are 85% more likely to develop lung cancer..... (That's 2 HUGE strikes against me!)

BUT, get this.....

SMOKERS have a 92% greater chance of developing lung cancer! O_o

I mean.... EEeEeeK! No thanks!

If I dy by the age of 50, then as of today, i've already lived 3/4ths of my life!

Puts it into perspective, doesn't it?

Soo... Yeahhh..... I've had cravings & mood swings, but all around, I feel pretty good. :)

What's new with you ladies?

The nicotine is out of ur system after 72 hrs the rest is mental and force of habit. I've been smoke free for 2 years. The hardest is when/ if u drink alcohol. Or when you have a really bad day. If ur excersing when u have a bad day run more or do an extra work out. It's hard but you can do it!!!!

Ive decided to quit too, I havent had one since last night around maybe 9:30ish. Definitely easier when Im at home, because as soon as I get in the car after work I want one! And my mom and BFF both smoke so I tend to smoke more around them. Those will be the hardest for me. I also am not announcing to anyone I know that Im quitting because when I do that DH hounds me about whether or not Ive given in yet which just pisses me off lol.
