My gma is trying to sell her car via Craigslist. She's gotten a couple people to respond. Both are out of state and want her to set up a PayPal account. Now I am a very big skeptic about things like these. I have a hard time trusting people anyways.
Is this something you would do?
I would rather her sell it to someone in state that can come personally hand her a Check/money order/cash.
Wwyd?

No, it's a scam. Don't do it. Think about it, would you buy a car you couldn't/didn't test drive first?

Thanks ladies. I'll let her know. I don't sell much on CL so I don't really read the disclaimers. But I will tell her.

Don't allow her to take a check either. I'd take cash or money order only. A check could bounce and she wouldn't know until the car is long gone.

I agree with all of these ladies. I had set up a PayPal a long, long time ago and someone hacked it and bought a $700 computer with my money and it was a huge pain and very time consuming to get the money back. Wait till you find someone you can meet in person!
