So df nephew (he's 21) left two months ago for the navy. We have become best friends over the past year and him leaving was pretty hard on me. Next Friday we are making the 8 hour drive from Duluth to Chicago to see him for the weekend since he is graduating basic training and I'm super excited! We will only next there one night but still. The only thing that will be hard is having our 14 month old son try to make it through the drive lol.

Aw that's great! My brother graduated bootcamp from the Navy around this time alittle over 16 years ago. Have fun! My dh has 41 days left of Airforce bootcamp before he graduates. Then we're flying down to Texas to see him graduate. Congrats to him and your family!

I have two brothers 21 & 20 currently in the navy. It was super hard when they left. One is a coreman in Jacksonville so luckily he gets leave every now and then and I can text him daily. The other one is on a ship so I haven't got to see him in over four months :( Congrats to him for graduating! !
