Any advice on what to bring camping to keep a 4 year old entertained? We will be going this coming weekend (this was just decided today apparently), we will have a beach but that's all I know for sure. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!
idk. lol. we're going for a week this sunday to the aderondacks with my 7 yr old and 19 month old. we cant take too much bc we can't just drive right to the site, we have to pack pack in a little ways. but we have water front i think, plus a huge forest to explore in! so we'll probably be spending a good amount of time running from bears. lmfao!
we go camping with our almost 5 and 2 and a half year olds all the time!! we bring a small back pack for each to "hike" it has bug catchers bug books bird books bioniclers sun screen ect. my kids like to have theeir "own" every thing
we make sure to have lots of snacks, water bug repelent sun screen. we also bring our beach toys and balls.
we wake up early every day and make breakfast then we will take a hike and find bugs to catch and new flowers to take pictures of (we have toddler digital cameras for them best idea ever) then we come back to camp to relax and play a little and go fishing and eat our picknick. after that we like to go swimming or more hiking. the kids will take a short afternoon nap (by this time the kids and dogs are wore out!!) then we will make dinner and relax till it is time for the stars!! my kids love to look for stars while camping we can see them much better than in the city!
have lots of fun!!
