My son was a terror yesterday!
I really couldn't believe it the entire time I thought, "Who is this kid?".
We went to go visit a friend that I hadn't visited in a really long time, she is 6 months pregnant with her first and I hadn't even seen her baby bump yet.
She lives a ways away so I picked my son up from Daycare and we hit the road. My best initial guess was that he just had all the reserved energy when we got there from the drive and from a boring day at daycare.
There house is just...hmm...not kid friendly-and I do not mean in the way of like breakables and really nice stuff...I just mean, cluttered and far too interesting. They had like stacks of papers as tall as he was and he really really wanted to knock that over. Their coffe table was in such a way that it made this awesome bridge from one couch to another, he really wanted to horse around. There TV is fucking huge and seems really unstable. Just a lot of stuff in a small area and I felt like whatever my kid did would create this domino effect and the entire house would crash to the ground if he did anything but sit on his pockets.
He was behaving pretty well but I just couldn't relax and chit chat with my friend and he seemed so bored. So I suggested we let him release some of his energy at the park. We walked and when we got there there were plenty of kiddos, he suddenly became shy (sort of a developing thing). He was watching from a distance and I told him, "Go introduce yourself say im Remington can I play with you?" he whispered it still standing 30 feet away, "I remton, can I pway wid you?" and looked at me like, "is that good enough mom?", I told him, "no hun, you gotta go over there closer and be louder, annunciate.".
Thats when a bigger kid came over, not much bigger than my three year old but I could tell he was like 6 maybe 7 and much thicker/stockier than my son. As he walked over I was smiling thinking I was about to see something really sweet. My friend and I looked upon interested as this kid walked over to my son and began his sentence, "Im Kyle, you wanna come oh-" and my son cranked his arm back and threw his fist into Kyle's chest as hard as he could, the echo/thump was loud it was HARD. My friend Melissa was trying to stifle her laugh, this was apparently the most hilarious thing she had ever seen and my son started laughing. My mouth was on the floor, I could NOT believe what my sweet little boy just did.
Kyle must have noticed the shock and anger on my face cause he told me, "Its okay! It didn't hurt, really it didn't hurt!". I lifted a finger as if to tell Kyle to hold on a moment. I grabbed my son by the arm and drug him over to a nearby bush, when I heard Kyles mom say, "Were you being mean to that little boy!?".
I turned on my mean evil mommy voice that strikes fear into my kids heart.
"Sit Remington." he plopped down by the bush. I got down on my hands and knees and put my face right in his with maybe an inch seperating our noses.
"You never hit anyone ever." He started crying...
"You will sit here until you know what you did was wrong." His crying becomes somewhat hysterical.
I walked away. Went back to my friend to let the minutes tick by. She looked at my like I was the devil and this was just a funny thing I should have let go. Kyle was standing by her and he told me, "It really didn't hurt."...I told him, "Well your a tough kid then Kyle, but he should not have hit you.".
I went back and asked my son, "Are you gonna hit anyone anymore?" he shook his head no and got up. He acted all shy now and Kyle was a great sport about it. They played peekaboo around me as my son was trying to hide behind my legs. It lightened the mood and soon they were off playing quite nicely.
After the park we played in Melissa's yard and he went hard the whole time. Again my back was to my son and as he was running around behind me. I heard Melissa say, "Do you have to pee?" and I turned around just as my son was whipping his thing out of his pants and he took a piss right in the front yard. SMFH!
She laughed and laughed and I was just like, "Omg...". That was just so out of character! He was in some kind of a crazy mood. Some sort of combo of way too much energy (had me wondering what he ate at daycare that day! She give him coffee or something? lol) and just being in a weird mood. I didn't freak out about that one. I just went over when he finished and explained to him how wildlyu inappropriate it is to pee in someones yard and to do so so indescretely. He agreed he wouldn't do it again.
Soon we left and he passed out in the car shortly after we were on the road again. Even still today im wondering what was going on in that head of his!
