How would you respond?

My sister, mother, and i were shopping the other day and we had my son with us. We were down in Palm Springs at a Marshalls i believe or Ross.. This woman passes as me as Im holding my son. She turns to me and asks "What is he wearing?" I turn to her kind of suprised and answer a onesie and shorts. As I finish she says how disgusted she is because my son gets everything and she doesnt even have money to get herself anything.Then procedes to say somethng in Spanish to me and storm off. I didnt know what to say. Im not going to apologize for clothing my child. He was litterally in plaid shorts and a gerber onesie from Walmart!!! It kind of upset me and the humored me. My husband is low ranking in the military and doesnt make much.. and i sell Scentsy (so months are touch and go) things are usually pretty financially tight, but we make it. We cant afford to go out and buy Gucci baby outfits for him lol. How would you respond to her.

I would honestly ask why an additude was given when not knowing who she was, and I'd ask why she said that. Of she has a problem with parents clothing their children, then be an adult and not bumble.

I would just let it go.  Saying anything to someone this crazy can only make things worse.

 I was to shocked to say anything to her.. and i dont speak spanish so i have no idea what she said to me lol.. I was like uhh what??? My babys in Walmart clothes and we struggle.. as you are saying you do... please dont take it out on my innocent child lol.. I couldnt manage words at that moment lol

I wouldn't have responded at all. The most I would have done was just smiled, laughed a little and walked away. Really what more can you do? You didn't prompnt her in anyway, and she doesn't know you or anything. so why give the time of day.

Hahaha I think she is stupid! She just must be really upset about something??? Who knows but that is random, and just sounds like she was upset she didnt have money to buy anything and you did.....

I wouldn't have even acknowledge her when she asked me what my baby was wearing. When rude people, say something, I just keep walking, pisses them off they didnt get a reaction out of me, because i could careless what a complete stranger thinks.
