We often hear horror stories about mother in-laws being a pain in the "BEEP". Many movies have even been made over this topic. Certain shows even depict mother in-laws to be the worst thing to ever happen in a married couples. I do not doubt there are some mother in-laws out there who are sweet as honey; but we can not deny that that is highly unlikely. Share your horror stories or even wonderful stories about your expirience.

While I was dating and engaged to DH I thought I had the sweetest mother in law, but after we got married it all changed. She asked for her monetary wedding gift back and then tried to charge me interest on it. That was only the beginning and it went downhill from there. Now we have no contact with her due to her behavior :/

I have both. His step mom is a sweetie and I love spending time with her. His Mom on the other hand is a bit much at times. Luckily my husband doesn't have the best relationship with her so I don't have to deal with her very much.

I got a mother in law. She really doesn't make my life hell she sometimes has her opinions on things but isn't pushy with it. My father in law is a different story though. He is an alcoholic so it is a hit or miss with him whether he is going to be chill or horrible when we see him.

I love my MIL very much. She is such an amazing woman and i hope i can raise my children as wonderfully as she raised hers. My mom is the monster, shes crazy!

Sometimes she can be a monster. Other times she can be the sweetest thing. However, anytime I'm in a bind she goes out of her way to help me.

I have both. His mom iis the most awful person I have ever met. She is no longer a part of our lives.
His step mom is wonderful. I couldn't ask for a better mil than her.
