My 3 year old dd is having problems going to daycare. She throws fits, even makes herself throw up. No there is no abuse or anything like that going on. That was the first thing I looked into. Anybody go through something similar and what did you do to make it better?

1 mom liked this
My son was having issues with that too. Then i had my husband take him one day and he was absolutely fine. I think because it upset me it was a way to get my attention. The baby sitter had said that the minute i left he was up playing with friends. Its tough though. Hes much better with it now at almost 4 years old. It may be one of those age things. Good luck! And be strong! Its hard sometimes being a working mother. :)

How long has she been doing this? Is she new to the daycare? She will eventually calm down. Just be consistent and let her know you will always be back to pick her up.

She has been going to the daycare for close to two and a half years. She acted like this in the beginning, and for about a month or so about a year ago. She has been acting like this for about 3 months now. It just is tough seeing her behave like that.

I hope it gets better. It is really hard.

maybe go in with him a few times and let him test its out. like sit in his class and let him experience it a little. then maybe have your hubby drop him off for the first day. psych him up for it before hand. worked for maci on teen mom lol! go watch that episode!

My DD was 3 but the class she was in had 5 yos an she told me what they would do. She started pulling her hair out so I took her out an she was fine after. To much stress or really bad separation anxiety.

Oh no... I'd call the doc. and ask for a appt. She maybe starting to have anxiety. My bff's little boy went through that. He was so stressed out that his hair started to fall out.

mine started daycare earlier than three. he did have crying issues but its like the woman said (who is still a friend of mine) that he stopped crying as soon as the door shut behind me. He got better but still had some clingy days. Hopefully he will just get used to it and learn that it can be a fun place. Keep pushing that its a fun place with lots of other kids and fun activities.
