My little one is now 13 months and she sleeps in her own bed all through the night, no longer on the bottle, and no longer on formula. So, now that I have got her to doing all that, it's time to take the binkie way, but it's her favorite thing! I don't even know how to do it!

I waited until ds was 28 months. I think a binkie till two is ok.

What a friend of mine did was she took her kids to build a bear and had the girls each put the paci in the bear (after getting rid of all but one binkie btw) that way they always had their binkie/paci and it could still be used as a comfort item

My son was a huge binkie baby!!! I didnt take his away till he was 2 1/2. I started out with taking it away during the day and him being fine with it but I would give it to him to sleep cause frankly I was worried he would throw a fit and wake up in the middle of the night. Finally I just didnt give it to him one night and that was it. He would ask about it every now and then but I would tell him the binkie fairy came and took it away to give to another baby that needed a binkie lol he would say ok and continue what he was doing. Good luck!!

This may make me sound cold, but at 14 months (with both kids), I just took it cold turkey. It took three nights of super fussy babies, but I never looked back.

Mine was maybe a year old and age just quit using it on her own. I think if she hadn't, I would have taken it cold turkey

Oh boy....... I remember, the dreaded binki.. I took hers away when she was about 26th months. I slowly weaned her off it. One night she slept without it and I threw it away and thankfully she never asked for it again.

I did it at 18 months with both of my dd's. My best advice is to take it away completely and don't look back. It worked well with both of mine. If you have real problems try getting a different kind and find one that she doesn't and wont want to use and she'll get over it very fast.

It depends on the child really.. I just took them from both my boys after they turned 1. They didn't really care
