Any mommas packing heat?

OK, so I don't want to get into gun laws and all that jazz because everyone has their own beliefs and opinions. I'm just curious if any moms carry a gun.

With all the public shootings going on, and the woman who was shot and her baby stolen, I've been thinking of getting my CHL. I'm in Texas, most people have guns here for whatever reason including my family because my husband hunts. I have a vivid imagination and picture myself and my kids in different scenarios where someone hurts us. I just think if someone tried to harm us, and I have a gun, I can save us if it came down to that?

I'm pretty sure I just set myself up for all kinds of ridicule, but hopefully we can all wear our big girl panties and be nice about this!

As soon as I get my chl I will carry a walther pk 380 or a bretta 9 mill

 I don't have a permit yet, but as soon as I have the money to go get it, I will be carrying a .22.

Dh and i need to get our concealed carry permits, weve been talking about it. We have a gun ready to go in our house. Once i went to pick up a kitten i found on a craigslist ad. Dh put the gun in my purse, i said "but i dont have a permit" he said "well deal with that if it comes to it but you are not going to a strangers house without a gun" i thought his response was cute lol

I just want a handgun for my house. My so brings his over when he comes to the house just in case the ex gets stupid and wants to start crap.

I live in CO and you can carry a gun around in plain sight without a license. I am 21 now so as soon as I have the money I'm going to get my conceal and carry license.

I don't have one personally but my mom and my family think I do. I go out by myself with my two daughters alot and I'm also newly pregnant. My mom carries a gun. And if it's not on her it's next to her at night in a drawer. Her boyfriend carries 2 just in case and my brother carries one with him as well. I figure if I'm with them I don't need one. But they all live in Florida and I just moved to Texas. So it will probably be a good idea for me to get my permit and start carrying one. I grew up with guns but never thought I would need to carry one of my own. Nowadays it's almost a necessity to protect yourself from all the crazies.

My bf wants a gun but I told him if u bring a gun in our house ill destroy it. If he wants a gun I told him keep it outside in the shed locked up.
