So I am due in December with a little girl.
My 4 1/2 years old son is named Mason Claudino. He was Born oct. 7th 2007 and I fell inlove with his name for the root meaning behind it which comes from the French meaning srong, which is where we got he Mason Stone from. I picked this name out LONG before tha kardashian came along LOL
His name has so much meaning because I am extreemly HR withpregnancy and went into cardiac arrest in labor withhim I named him Mason for all the strengthhe had at birth becasue despite all MY medical issues, he was healthy as anything.
My daughter's name has so much meaning to me and DH as well. Her name is HavanaOlivia. Her middle is Pyper [my mother's maiden name]. Her last name stars with E.
When we wrote it down we noticed her initials spelt out HOPE. Well MIL is buggin that
1. She disapproves of the Name bc she doesn't like Fidel Castro?...[My DH was BORN in HAVANA CUBA! so wtf Havana has to do with castro is beyond me. we named her that because of the beautiful city it is.]
2. She's in a friggin huff because she didn't get to name my daughter..? She didn't act like this with Mason. Get the f#ck outa here! It's not YOUR CHILD LADY!
She flat out goes the name is ugly, I will call her Hannah.
DH SNAPPPPED! I never seen him so mad - well she has gathered up all her family to bash on me saying i turned her son against her? and to bash my daughter's name not just via telephone but on facebook. Who does that knowing how effing high risk. ?! Thank GOD we live in NJ and the inlaws live in Miami FL. I'm sorry I had to vent.
I love my daughter's name so does DH and it's set in stone. idk why people feel so damn entitled to opinions on shit they have no right to say on
So her first name is going to be havanaolivia? Not Havana-Olivia? No offense, I love all those names. Havana is def different, but really pretty.
I just don't like Havanaolivia together? I guess. Maybe it if it was hyphenated, or Olivia Pyper as her middle name? Just an idea, ultimately its your decision and you shouldn't care.

We haven't shared what we're naming our child (we haven't even shared the gender!) because we want to avoid criticism at all cost. His family is as dysfunction as your MIL sounds, I'm so sorry that you have to deal with that.

Castro was the Communist leader of Cuba until 2006. He came into power in 1959 promising to end the horrible government that already exsited. Within a few months, Castro's firing squad had murdered over 600 men and boys. He was a horrible man.
