My daugthers eye lid is purple and it looks like its dropping, am about to take her in the ER just waiting for my aunt to get here to watch my other babies (they are in bed they have school) anyway I just thought I would ask you other mommies cause its freaking me out, it has not been like that all day I just noticed it about 30 mins ago while giving her a bath, so i got her ready to go to the er, Anyone ever seen something like this??

answer for them about the carseat, I know how its suppose to be the bottom is not hatched, I had put her in the carseat right when I noticed her eye I didnt know my aunt wasnt at home she lives 5 mins away til I called her to see if she could come over and stay with my other babies. and thanks for all who answered about her eye I will do a update as soon as I know something, just waiting on my aunt to get here, and she does not act like it hurts I felt around it when she was in the tub and she did not cry or respone she just blinked lol. but I am still gonna take her in cause I have never seen anything like that

ouch... looks like she bumped it and has a black eye... :/ about the people saying not to go to the er... dont mind themi would be doing the same thing.... ive wanted to take my son to the docs for so much but dont have a car so i just call the iehp helpline... he is my first and even if he was my 10th i would still be taking him to the doctor if i feel like something is wrong...

she obviously feels that her eye is serious enough to make an emergancy room trip... she doesnt know what it is and didnt know what had happened... it mightbe nothing or it might be something... so a doctor will be checking it out

good for you momma :) let us know what happens!

I don't think that's ER worthy. Smh. People run to ER for every little thing these days. Why not CALL pediatrician or go to urgent care?!

Bet she just bumped it. She could be sleepy. Allergies. Nothing seems life threatening and you said she wasn't bothered by it so not in intense pain...

This is why ins premiums are through the roof and healthcare costs are extremely high. Thanks!

Ok I hate to ne rude but first off I know my child when she's sleepy and nothing comes up like that! Second off she's only a month old actually just turned a mths old the 30th not much she can do at that age! And third what doctor's office do know that is open at 9PM none in my state! Last time I check anything medical is expensive and has been for as long as I can remember! So before you start your bashing fest get the facts! My child had been with me all day her eye was fine and all of a sudden it looks like that! Am sry I want to my sure my baby is ok she was premature and as had a long road! Stop bashing parents who are just being safe whether then sorry!

I totally agree. Mommy if you want to take her to the doc, take her! I'd rather put my mind at ease to ensure she is safe. I hope she is ok. post an update later :)

Pediatric and are ON CALL for these things. And urgent care is better option than Er. I have a son that was premie. He has autism & epilepsy and I STILL don't run to ER for every little thing. ER is for EMERGENCY.
