donating princess toys...

I just went out and bought around $100 worth of princess toys for donating but I am having a hard time finding somewhere besides toys for tots and a lot of people have said to be weary of these places.

Does anyone know why we should be weary? Are there a lot of scams or something? Because if I can't donate to there then where the heck can I?

find an angel tree collection spot. They will some times have kids that don't get adopted.

Maybe ask a local church, I know they usually do an angel tree or some kid of gift exchange.

That's a good idea. I just know that sometimes those kids are pretty specific on what they want and I have just a ton of random princess stuff. It was all 50% off so I bought a ton. Lol.

That's a good idea. I don't go to church but I could call around and ask.

The way I see it, is if people are really that needy then they will be thankful for whatever someone can get their child.

What about food/christmas hampers? Ours is done through our local food bank and fcss (family and community support services). Maybe there is a similar support program in your community?

Look into local homeless shelter programs. :)
