Dd's allergic to milk and soy protein. Been put on alimentum by her ped. It might burn a hole thru our pocket. Anyone tried getting it covered by insurance, aetna? When.i called, they said no. I have a letter from the doc, and I'm sending it to them .

My friends two kids were both on that type. One was 13 yrs ago and the other just got off it. Hers was never covered. Good luck.

I've never heard if insurance covering it unfortunately :( ds was on neocate it's 45$ a small can , WIC did cover it however , with a note from his pedi .

Just because your doctor prescribes it, doesn't mean your insurance has to pay for it. Try WIC.

My son was on Nutramigen and we paid out of pocket. I have never heard of insurance covering formula.

My dd was on Nutramigen for 18 months.
Our insurance didn't cover it (Blue Cross) and we aren't low income, so we just paid for it.
