The Saddest Thing

I went to the store today and met a women who was just looking around the store at a Christmas tree and toys.
We talked for about an hour and she told me that she isn't getting a tree or gifts this year because she is convinced the world will infact end on the 21st.
Broke my heart knowing she isn't letting her family celebrate Christmas all because of what someone made up years ago.

1 mom liked this

How ignorant. If she thought the world is going to end, she should've gone all out for Christmas.

That's sad. Whatever happens (I don't believe it's going to happen), happens. We have no control over things like that, so why live your life in fear? I could die in 5 mins, 2 days, a few weeks, in many many years... It's something I have no control over and I am going to make the best of it while I am here and damn sure wouldn't make my kids suffer for it. I don't understand all the madness behind the end of the world shit...

Wow. Is she one of those people who quit her job back in May when yet another apocalypse was supposed to happen? To each their own though. She will just have a bunch of last minute shopping to do.
