$300 goes to our savings, $200 goes to our sons.

We only have one son so we are working on building him a substantial savings before he turns 18 and he's not getting access to it until then either. We also have the Gerber Life Insurance on him that we bought when he was born. He can cash that out at that time or keep it as an extra policy. We are huge believers in savings and in giving our son a good start. DH and I started with nothing and we want to give him better than that.

this. But dh does the saving. I can't save for the life of me. So you would have to ask him. I have none in my account

Our boys won't have access to their accounts until they are 18. I don't want them blowing it on shopping or something!

In the last month we put $1,600 in savings.  This month we will be able to put in more because of over time on dh's check. We have never been able to out this much in every month until Dh got his new job and he also gets disability pay from the VA.
