my attorney is screwing me...

Hard. $6000 retainer. There is $370.74 left. This was for something over a month ago. By my calculation it should be way more. Ontop of all this... My ex is the one who filed a pointless case. My attorney was supposed to ask for the fees to be applied to him. But she didn't. I'm soooo angry right now. That was every last bit of our savings. And with me not working (pg) nothing is going back in. I feel like everything is falling apart.

I'm thinking about taking my ex to small claims court. Has anyone else been through this?

The max you could get in small claims is $3000.

Ask for a detailed bill.

Send a letter to the attorney's office asking for an exact accounting of how the retainer was used and reiterate that your ex should have been reponsible for the fees.
