 Tell him to stop biting.

Is he biting you while nursing? Is he biting playmates at daycare? What are the circumstances?

Repition & patience. Just keep saying "no. biting is not nice."  and remove him from the situation. Give him something that he can chew on.

You have to be firm in your tone and consistant. Consistancy is the key. I also wouldnt say the word 'NO'. I would say "stop biting" instead of  'no biting'.  Stop is not something he necessarily hears all the time, but Im guessing he hears 'no' a lot. You need to say something that will momentarily catch his attention so he relates that word to what he is doing. It may be more effective and of course keep telling him firmly to 'stop' every time he does it. Good luck

My son is 2 and still likes to bite but he doesn't ever bite hard and he always says bite before he bites. I think he uses it as a form of kissing. When he does it we tell him "no bite".

The one time DS bit me at that age I burst into very dramatic tears (mostly fake) to show it hurt me. He didn't do it again. I think he thought it was a game until he saw me start crying.
