Putting a knife in her innocent daughter's hand. This is why I don't I don't post things to Facebook, am I wrong for thinking 6 is old enough to lean basic kitchen skills like how to handle a knife without losing an appendage?

Sorry I don't know how to make this not sideways

I think it's personally fine as long as they know not to mess with knives without adult supervision.

It depends on the kid. Mine is 9 and just starting to get sharp knives.

It's not like I left her alone I supervised the entire time.

My kids have helped out in the kitchen since they were 2-3yo, just depends on what they're doing and what I'm doing. They're 9yo and 4yo now, I allow my 4yo to use what she calls a "baby" knife (a butter knife designed for children) reguarly and I let her help chop things with my supervision.
