So we are expecting baby number three, another boy. My son is named after his dad we call him Jr,  my df also wants our 2nd son to have his name and we call him Tre....Opinions??

Well, You can put the question another way that may help you to decide. What would be the benefit of doing that?

Would it benefit the child or family in anyway? 

What would be the drawback of it?

Would you want to call your son Tre?

That defeats the purpose of a jr. Makes no sense. Just come up with a new name. In the future your son would name his son after his namesake and he would become the third.

I vote no. It reminds me of George Foreman. Didn't he name all of his sons George? I think I'm thinking of the right person. Anyway, I'm not a fan.

 Yep, he has 6 Georges...LOL And his daughter Georgetta. LOL plus his other kids...
I am not a fan of it. I would do a new name. GL!!

Nooo. So they'd both have the same name? That would make things so difficult. The only way on paper to determine who's who is social in that case?

That is silly...my brother is the third but that's only because my dad and grandpa have the same name. If your junior has a son and decides to use his name then his son would be the third. I would be mortified if I had the same name as my sister regardless of what our nicknames were.
