Son is getting tonsils removed Monday
One night stay at children's then he comes home
I have been told he will be miserable and wake up all night long in pain and dicomfort
my question is what do I do?
I plan on loving on him and well...being his mom but during the night if he wakes he won't go back to sleep so is this about to become infant feedings type sleep all over again? Do I sleep when he sleeps and get up with him when he gets up? Or is he going to want to sleep all day and night? Am I going to loose a lot of sleep? Do I need to let him cry at any point.
We do not sleep together never have never will dh refuses to have it.he is 2 years old and I'm really scared can someone ease my mind a little with experienced advice?

thanks
Worried mom

My kid had hers at when she was 5 and it honestly wasnt that big of a deal. She had a mild sore throat and that was it.

Popsicles help, soft foods for the first few days. They'll let you know if you can give him tylenol/motrin for the pain.

The hardest part is honestly waking up from the anesthesia. Some kids are little terrors that first day from it, others will just want to sleep.

I've never had that experience. Be sure to ask lots of questions about what you can/can't do. (((HUGS)))
