The house i had found that was so pretty, my bfs aunt thinks it is a scam. The lady told to me to fax over the application, but bf said we would takeit there since it had our ss# on there. But she tried looking up the address and nothing came up. So we are again looking for a house or apartment. But the apartment books and craigslist are the only places i know to look. Im kinda bummed though im so ready to move.

I think i should just get off there. The lady made ot sound so good and on the recording was like its easier to have contact through email. They had a bunch of other houses she mentioned. I dislike the fact that people try to scam others

dh and I have bought a ton of things off craigslit without any issues. the main thing is that when it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. when we were buying my car, we came across a bunch of scams and I was starting to get frustrated, until we got a callback from this one guy, it was at the top of our budget so I didn't think my mom would go for it, but since she had seen the other crappy ones she went ahead and got me that one (we ended up covering tags though, since she used up all her money just paying for the car). have you tried rent.com, or other rental sites? some of them include houses.

Craigslist is just bad news all around.

Google something like 'houses for rent in ___' and put in your zip code. You'd be surprised what pops up.
