Found out some pretty depressing news today.

My uncle (Technically not my uncle, but has been Uncle since I was born) is fighting a rare form of leukemia. :( I feel like crying. He needs a bone marrow donor and no one that Can give is a match. I cant even be tested because of the pregnancy.... *sigh* I wish I could help.

I didn't even know that. I will have to sign hubby up and see If he is a match (doubtful... But heck it's worth a shot)

Quoting GirlWSemiAuto:

If you sign up on the website they can send you a kit to do the testing at home and just mail it in. super easy.

That's interesting. Thanks for the info. (Hugs) & lots of prayers! <3

I doubt I'd be a match (that'd be a miracle), but donating bone marrow either way, would help someone, right? :)

Quoting EmmaZate:

I don't know. I know there is a national registry where you can find testing locations in your area.

The website is

http://marrow.org/Home.aspx

I can't make it clicky cause I'm mobile.

I found out today that I might be able to donate the cord blood if he still needs it in June.

Quoting OompaLover6969:

(Hugs) <3 I'm so sorry, hun!

Where does one go to get their bone marrow tested?
