Skate party for 4 year olds??

My little guy's buddy at school is having a birthday party at the local skating rink. The party will consist of 3 and 4 year olds. My son is 4 and I just don't know if he's quite coordinated enough to skate. Thoughts?

We don't have a skating rink anywhere close to us but I think that's silly imo. I wouldn't trust my almost 7yo to do it.

Most skating rinks allows parents to skate with their kids (with shoes on). We went to a skating party last year my boys were 5&4, they didn't care for it though.

Here they give little kids 5 gallon buckets upside down to brace on.

They have equipment to help little ones. Little "walkers" they can hold on to and push along. :)

My almost 4 year old wears his fisher price over-the-shoe skates and we lock the wheels.

Also, helmets are a must for skating.

Call to see if they have skating helpers the ones I have seen are made out of PVC.
