7 Things It's Okay to Steal From Your Kids

by Julie Ryan Evans

piggy bankIn a shocking new study, a dirty little secret of many parents is revealed -- they're thieves. According to CouponCodes4u, almost half of parents say they've taken money from their children's savings accounts. Even worse -- 51 percent say they don't feel guilty about it.

Now, I've been known to take a few dollars from my kids' piggy banks here and there in a crisis (hello, Tooth Fairy nights!), as I never have cash on hand, but I always pay them back ... at least when I remember. But going into an actual savings account and withdrawing their money to pay my bills or something, that I would never do.

There are, however,  plenty of other things I do shamelessly steal from kids and make no apologies for. Here are seven of them.

1. Their Easter Candy

Think of it as saving their teeth from all of that sugar. Ditto for Halloween candy.

2. Their Attention

Away from the TV, video games, and other mind-melding devices.

3. Glances at Them When They're Sleeping

Or lingering gazes.

4. Their Jokes

They're just too cute not to share.

5. Their Fries

They won't notice if you're quick.

6. Their Diary

Just for a quick peek, once in awhile.

7. Their Hugs & Kisses

Always.

I did steal her Easter candy this year because she is only 9 months haha. We didn't buy it for her, other people did. I love stealing glances at her when she is sleeping. And always steal hugs and kisses :).

I don't ever take his fries or candy but dude is pretty funny so taking the things he says are easy.

I steal her candy sometimes! and her cuddles.
And in the process, she seems to have stolen my heart!

I thought I wad the only one!! Some of his snacks are soooo good. Also his juice if I run out of my own, baby wipes for sure, and always hugs, kisses, and gazes while he's sleeping.
