Found out....

I found out on Wednesday that I have Bell's Palsy. For those who don't know it is a Partial facial paralysis. I cannot close my right eye. I have a droop to my right side of my face. When it happened, it scared the crap out of me. Sometimes I lose the sight in my eye. I am trying to find out more about this disorder. There has to be a cause to it and a way to get rid of it. So far I have had no luck. I hope it doesn't become permanant.

They ruled out lymes and stroke. They said the key thing that told them that it was Bells was the fact that I can't close my eye. They said it should get better with time. It can come back though. But i do have a great SO and friends and family that help me out quite a bit. It gets irritating that I cannot close my eye or only have partial use of my face but no one loves me any less.

My dad got it about 15 years ago. There is a wide range in the severity of cases, it does not sound like yours is bad. I think the only thing you can do is give it time. I know sometimes when dad is exhausted his face droops a little bit still. Good luck!

My friend has this. Medicines have helped him a lot.
