Hey mommas, So my daughter is 1 and she does this high pitched scream, not a cry just a scream as loud as she can to get what she wants, and I dont know how to get her to stop it. It drives me up the wall. do yall have any suggestions to get her to stop it?

Don't give her what she wants when she screams. She has learned scream = get desired object/attention.

Its a phase. as long as you dont cave in to her wants when shes doing that then it will pass quickly.

My first born tried that when she was 16 months. It didnt last long. and just dont give in. i sometimes simply just ignored and she would calm down.

This.

And try to teach her the word for what she wants, and encourage her to use it.

One of my boys did that and then when I wouldn't give in he'd start banging his head into walls or the floor.

This may sound wrong to some but the only thing I could do to get him to stop was to laugh at him. He was only looking for the response he wanted, so I gave him the opposite and it worked. Good luck!
