If the fever is under 105 and has no other symptoms with it or just cold symptoms then just leave it be. You get a fever for a reason, and it's to help fight off whatever infection you have. If he is complaining and can't sleep then the pain reliever can help or a cool bath, and yes lots of fluids. A fever is fine to have for up to four or five days. At that point I would suggest taking him to the doctors. Again as long as it's not to high.

How much medicine are you giving him? I use the "be kool" patches along with medicine.

How high is the fever?

Do tylenol and iburoprofen (sp?) every 3 hours.

Keep giving him fluids and cool baths (even put a few icecubes in there).

If the fever is high, take him to the dr asap, they are nothing to mess around with

If the fever is 100 degrees or above I would say take him to the ER right away.

I wet a rag with cool water and lay it on their back or chest, helps cool them down.
