advice needed about rounding out a flat head.

I took my daughter to her 4 month check up yesterday. I have noticed that her head was getting pretty flat so i pointed it out to the doctor. He said lots of tummy time and hopefully it will fix itself, if not he is going to refer us to a specialist. She is normally either in her bumbo chair (it doesnt touch her head) or on her tummy if she is awake. The only time she is on her back is to sleep, and in her car seat.

Any advice? I dont want her to have any issues later in life, and i would rather be proactive rather than wait and have her in a helmet (not that there is anything wrong with that.) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm really not sure, my son had a flat spot but it kinda fixed itself.

Wish I could help on that. I think just keep a watch on it and then on your next visit see what he says again.

It fixes itself, some cases the child needs a special helmet.
