Really??? I mean are you stinkin' kidding me??? A post I read that REALLY got my blood boiling
So the title of this post is "is it okay to smoke pot while breastfeeding" and my first thought was that it was going to be one of those "ha ha made you look with the title" kind of posts. But I opened it nonetheless in case it was a mom really needing advice but just using the title. But what I found really seriously shook me up. I mean it breaks my heart. Look at this:
based on the other post about " smoking pot and pregnancy" well not really but iv just been wanting to post this but haven't till i saw this post... anyway i i quit smoking pot and cigs when i became pregnant and after i delivered i decided to wait till after breast feeding but i never planned on breast feeding this long she is 5 months now and we love it and i don't plan on stopping anyway i started smoking cigs but i only smoke after she gos to bed or i know i wont have to feed her for at least 2 hours. and i don't smoke much 1 a day(if that) and i feel prity safe with that a bfing from all iv read it seems so little gets passed into my bm and that by the time i feed her again it should be all out.. any way I'm not proud that i started smoking cigs again but i do it.. its my one real brake even if it lasts 5 whatever i could be doing worse and i do take precaution to protect my daughter anyway i have been holding off on the smoking pot bc i did not feel safe with the breast feeding and smoking pot but one night after i put baby to bed ( she sleeps through the night now so i new i had all night) a friend of mine came over and i decided to smoke a lil pot (my SO does not smoke and he was home so i new baby was safe) anyway in the morning i pumped and dumped and my SO feed her frozen bm , but after that i fed her regularly. i don't plan on smoking often but i would like to every once and a while what are your opinions is it horrible should i not all all?? do i need to pump and dump the next day ??
**Are you KIDDING ME????? Are you that self centered that you can't put down the drugs and put that above your baby???? UGH!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot wrap my mind around the fact that some mothers put things above their children. Not only is she smoking pot while her baby is in the house but she is wanting to know if it's okay to smoke the crap while breastfeeding her daughter!! I feel the need to pray for the baby. I mean maybe I'm being judgemental but it seriously breaks my heart!**
I've been there with someone IRL like that. I watched her baby pick UP a pot butt and start to stick it in her mouth. It's disgusting. Pot stays in your system for 24 hours, too.

That really is heartbreaking. I hope she got some good advice and not a bunch of "good for you for trying" crap.
Oh yea she got a few earfulls LOL It was all I could do not to go slap off...I mean It literally made me cry.

I agree alot of Moms don't think about their children 1st, they are selfish and it is really sad. It breaks my heart when I see things like that.
It is nice to see someone posting in this group, sorry i have'nt been on much at all lately. I miss you all and hope you are doing great!
