Hi everyone My name is Jodi . I am 39 and a Mom to the most wonderful little boy in the world (I know we all say that)  I always wanted children but did not think I would ever have them....but I was plesently surprised last year, 2 weeks after I married my best friend Brett  we got pregnant.
He is the most important little boy in the world to me and I want to raise him with the love and respect he deserves.
I am an AP parent/child led/pro breast feeding/child wearing/co -sleeping/No spanking/no CIO mom and  I am very passionate about all of these things.

I am very against spanking and CIO, it breaks my heart to read when people justify spanking or CIO. Why would anyone think that would be a reasonable way to raise a child I will never understand.

♥My husband and I have been happily married for almost fourteen years. He is a wonderful husband, father, and provider..a dream come true. We have four precious children so far!

♥We are an attachment/natural parenting family. Our beliefs include me staying home to raise our children, breastfeeding, babywearing, the family bed, gentle discipline, and homeschooling.  

♥Other beliefs or practices of ours include natural foods, natural living, natural family planning and being quiverful, clothdiapering, carseat safety, noncircumcision, and nonvaccination. 

♥I love supporting other mothers through volunteering as a La Leche League Leader, Attachment Parenting Instructor, Crisis Pregnancy Center Volunteer, and in the Pro Life Ministry.

My name is Celeste.  I'm a SAHM to 2 boys ages 12 & 4 and a new daughter 3 weeks old today. Here's a post I made in another group which explains pretty well how I ended up joining a group like this.

At 2 and a half weeks old, my daughter Noël has established some very strong political views regarding baby rights. She is a firm believer in feeding on demand.  Vehemently opposed to the Cry-It-Out method, and a firm supporter of a baby's right to be carried 24 hours a day. Here she is explaining to me the befefits of responding promptly to baby's needs.

Hello I am Joanna (22) married to Todd for the last 4years :) We have an almost one year old! Walter Ethan (Dec 6 2006) and we have found ourselves following our hearts which lead us to the AP/CLP parenting style. We do not CIO ever! and we do not spank (that should be a given since Walter is so young but sadly it is not) and I do not plan to ever spank but my husband still talks like it is an option when it is a big "offence" but I know him and I know as Walter gets older that that "option" will never be used. But still any info to back me up would be wonderful.
It's nice to have these groups where when I ask for advice I won't get "he 'needs' to CIO" or "Slap his hand/mouth/butt" or "You're spoiling that child" or my fav "if you don't set the rules (enforce corporal punishment) now then they'll never behave".
I'm looking forward to some better advice :)

I am SO excited I found this group. It's nice to talk with other mommas that have the same thinking. I am a 27 yr old SAHM to one daughter. She is 21 months. I have been AP/breastfeeding on demand/no spanking/ no cio/ etc etc etc/ since she was born. I LOVE it so much! I wouldn't want it any other way!! I hope to get to know you ladies!!

Hi! I am a SAHM of 2- my DD is 5yrs old and my DS is 4mo old. I am totally against any physical punishment(spanking) and CIO method of parenting. I believe that as parents we are to comfort and guide our children in loving and gentle ways.

Hi, my name is April. I am 26 and my husband, Henry, and I have one precious daughter, Genevieve, who is 7 1/2 months old. We practice attachment parenting and therefore do not believe in spanking or CIO. So glad to be a part of a wonderful group of people that feel the same way.

I'm Teresa. I'm 46, and have three children....22, 18 and 15....who have never been spanked and who were never left to CIO. All three of them were breastfed for two years, worn for about a year, co-slept for between two and three years....and are terrific people these days, due in large part, I believe, to the safe and secure beginning to their lives.
