Here it is 3 a.m. and my 20 month old won't sleep. She was put to bed at 9 p.m. and woke at 10:30 then 12:00 and then 1 a.m. and we have been up since. This has been happening for the past couple weeks. It doesn't happen every night but it is starting to happen more often. She is breast fed to go to sleep and even that isn't working. She sleeps in a toddler bed and gets out of it and cries for me to come get her. I am at my wits end. I am thinking about going back to a crib and letting her cry. Although I don't want to let her cry but I don't know what else to do. If anyone has any ideas about what to do I would appreciate any advise.

Wow I am going through the same exact thing. My DD is 20 months and she is up all night long. It has been this way for about 5 days. She has always gotten up every 3 hours to nurse but now its non stop. I feel like I haven't slept in days. She had a fever last week but thats been gone. I took her to the doctor yesterday because she just cries all day long. I've tried motrin and constantly nursing and rocking her. I wasn't sure whats wrong but it sounds like we are going through the same thing. I thought maybe it could be 2 year molars. Well I hope it passes soon. Sorry I didn't have any answers but your not alone. I feel like I just want to cry!

My only suggestion would be co sleeping. We have Logans crib pulled up next to the bed and the one side of it removed so he can come into our bed or go into his easily, and it is way easier for breastfeeding.
I am so sorry you both are going thru this......It sounds like maybe teething pains, but I am not sure.

Is she teething? Olivia is having the hardest time with teething right now. Her eye teeth just popped out yesterday and I tell ya, she's an entirely different baby! Check that, let's hope that's what it is! If so, just ride it out.
