ok so heres the deal, my son is 5.5 months and has been having some issues getting to sleep and sleeping.

So he used to let me get him to sleep by holding him then putting him in his crib, now he wont let me hold him to get him to sleep he just arches his back and screams (like he knows my plan!) So I would put him in his swing to sleep, but now he can sit up and he leans over the bar and I get to nervous to put him in there any more.  And in his crib he will play for like 10-15 min but then he starts screaming.  So I am kind of at a loss on what to do?!   He just laughs when daddy tries to put him to sleep!

Any advice or personal expierence would be great?! I NEED SOME HELP!  I feel like I am loosing my mind THANK you :)

Well, sometimes A-D <- my 5 mth old dd REFUSES to let me rock her to sleep also. I hold her cradled in my left arm. I tuck her right arm under mine and I put my right arm over her legs. I hold her in this position and I rock her and pat her bottom. All the while she streches out trying to get away from me and sooner or later she can't fight me anymore. While she's strecthin out, I just keep at. It usually takes her about 10- 15 min to give up the fight lol. She's a tough cookie LOL!! GL hope this helps.

Nursing usually puts mine right out and me too!  Just keep rocking; he'll give in.  Play for a while to wear him out before you start.

The only way Olivia will usually go to sleep for me is to nurse. Sometomes if she won;t nurse I"ll hold her and just walk/dance around the house, she likes that. DH can drive her in the car. He can also cuddle in the bed with her and scratch her back & she'll go into a coma! LOL!
